By the end of week six we managed to finish some things. In costume Construction we finished our weaving. I don't think i mentioned about the 'weaving' in my last entry so i will do so now. Basically we had to chose a color from our mood boards. Once we had chosen, we had to cut of little strips or string, tissue paper, fluffy materials ect... we had to weave them in and out pieces of white string that we had attached to a piece of cardboard. after we had finished weaving in and out then we could take the string of the cardboard in sections and tie a not in each end. soon we will be sticking it onto a display and that will be out weaving work finished! we also got some homework from Mrs hearne which was to collect jeans and skirts, anything that is denim really, we need this for outfits that we are going to make.
In practical with Miss Dolan we have been working on out 'get the box' task. we only had it two days last week so didn't have much time to practice but this week with have a lesson nearly everyday and a double lesson so we will have plenty of time! i am finding this task very fun as well as challenging but we need to try and takes risks to make it look more effective. I am finding a few of the lifts hard that we have chosen to do, for example one of them where i have to balance of Chloe's back for a few seconds, however we still need to develop this move more. everyday i am working on each move and hopefully inprooving a little!!
Katie had taken a picture of the lift/balance for me but she hasn't yet uploaded it but i will put it on my blog once she has!!

ReplyDeleteLifts are always hard, as you have to learn to trust each other and find a central balance and strength to ground you as lifter, or be strong in core for being lifted. It will come with lots of practice and confidence.
